Meet the Doctors

Drs. Jones and Copeland are pleased to be able to offer beautiful smiles to his neighbors in Flowery Branch, Buford, Hoschton, Braselton, and all of northeast Georgia.

Dr. Jones takes numerous postgraduate education courses each year and has received extensive training in IV sedation, occlusion (your bite), and esthetic dentistry, allowing him to incorporate these treatments into his practice so he has a multitude of methods for solving complex dental problems. Most recently, Dr. Jones has completed a 9-month comprehensive dental implant program through Georgia Regents University.

In addition to private practice, Dr. Jones also lectures (www.DrJonesSpeaks.com) on cosmetic dentistry nationally to both students and dentists, has published in the Journal of Dental Research, and presented at the International Association of Dental Research. Currently Dr. Jones teaches other dentists systems and techniques for cosmetic dentistry, digital photography, and dental materials serving as a clinical instructor for the Clinical Mastery Series (www.clinicalmastery.com). His well-rounded approach to education means he is constantly evaluating emerging dental methods and technologies in order to provide his patients with the best results in the least invasive manner with a high emphasis on comfort. This commitment ensures the highest level of care, both today and tomorrow.

Dr. Jones is an active participant in the community, serving on the leadership committee of the Georgia Missions of Mercy. He and his wife Margaret live in the area with their three children, Eloise, Teddy and Finn. In his spare time, he enjoys getting out on the lake and watching college football (go Tigers!).

Dr. Katherine Copeland earned her dental degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry (ULSD), after earning her bachelor's degree from Furman University. She holds professional memberships in the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Throughout her training at ULSD, Dr. Copeland continually sought out opportunities to further her skill set. She completed an externship through the Indian Health Service at a clinic in Tulsa, Oklahoma, providing quality dental services to the Cherokee Indian tribe. Most recently, Dr. Copeland has completed advanced training in esthetic dentistry, occlusion, and Invisalign™ orthodontic training. Dr. Copeland's commitment to pursue postgraduate education in advanced dentistry allows her to incorporate these services into her practice to provide the highest quality of care.

Dr. Copeland also places high value on giving back to the community. She volunteers regularly at Truth's Community Clinic in Lawrenceville, and also volunteers annually for Community of Smiles, an event that provides free dental care to over 1,500 people in Gwinnett County each year. Previously, Dr. Copeland had the opportunity to serve on a mission trip with the Christian Dental Society, rendering dental care to under-served communities in Mavis Bank, Jamaica.

Dr. Copeland and her husband, Taylor, live in the area and in their spare time enjoy gardening, exercising, and weekends on Lake Rabun, as well as spending time with family and friends.
